Abstract
UD Kurnia Abadi is a distribution company engaged in the sale of charcoal, animal feed raw materials, and cooking oil. In its operations, the company still relies on various separate platforms such as WhatsApp, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word to record sales transactions and carry out employee payroll processes. The lack of integration between these platforms has led to several operational issues, including processing time inefficiency, delays in product delivery to customers, and an increased workload for the company’s administrative staff. The main problem identified is the absence of a centralized information system capable of automatically integrating all business processes. Currently, administrative staff must manually transfer data between applications to record transactions, generate delivery notes and invoices, and calculate employee salaries. This not only prolongs working time but also causes operational inefficiencies. This condition has further contributed to decreased customer satisfaction due to service delays, as well as a decline in employee trust in the accuracy of the payroll system in use. Based on these issues, this study aims to design and develop an information system for recording sales transactions and managing employee payroll at UD Kurnia Abadi using the Scrum method. The Scrum approach was chosen for its iterative and adaptive nature, allowing system development to be carried out gradually and in response to evolving user needs. The development results show that the designed information system can simplify the transaction recording process and accelerate salary and bonus calculations. Furthermore, it has resulted in faster product deliveries, reduced administrative workload, and improved data transparency through real-time salary information display. Thus, the implementation of this system provides tangible contributions in enhancing the effectiveness and accelerating the operational performance at UD Kurnia Abadi.
