Abstract
Joho Tourism Village, located in Semen District, Kediri Regency, is one of the tourism destinations with rich natural and cultural potential. The village offers various facilities such as outbound activities, camping, tubing, and educational programs about honey and traditional food tiwul. Despite its strong appeal, limitations in information management, promotion, and visual facilities hinder its ability to attract more visitors. The lack of location maps and clear guides makes it difficult for tourists to fully explore the village’s potential. This research aims to design functional branding to help tourists become familiar with and strengthen the visual identity of Joho Tourism Village. The methodology used is qualitative, with approaches including direct observation, interviews, and needs analysis. The analysis focuses on identifying visual elements that can improve users’ understanding of the provided information. The development of various visual identities also considers tourism needs across aspects such as promotion, environmental graphics, legibility, and the uniqueness of Joho Tourism Village. The outcome of the Joho Tourism Village branding design is a visual identity guideline that serves as a reference for the application of the logo and various visual elements. The guidelines include rules for the logo, color palette, typography, tagline, supergraphics, mascot, environmental graphics, promotional media, and implementation across different media. The branding design also results in communication and branding strategies that can serve as references for engaging with the public and target audiences. This branding design is expected to assist Joho Village in building its brand identity and increase the enthusiasm of local residents in managing the village. The use of the Joho Tourism Village logo will further strengthen its visual identity and make it easier for people to recognize and remember Joho Tourism Village in Kediri Regency. Keywords: Branding, Tourism Village, Visual Identity Guidelines, Environmental Graphics
