Abstract
Organizational commitment is a key factor that influences the effectiveness and sustainability of a company. PT PLN Nusantara Power UP Pacitan is a company engaged in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity. This study aims to explore the effect of workload and work discipline on organizational commitment with job satisfaction as a mediating variable on employees of PT PLN Nusantara Power UP Pacitan. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach and data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires. The study population was 247 employees, while the sample used was 90 respondents selected based on purposive sampling techniques. To analyze the data, the Partial Least Square (PLS) method was used. The results of this study revealed that workload has a positive but insignificant effect on organizational commitment. Conversely, work discipline shows a significant positive effect on organizational commitment. In addition, workload has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment through the mediation role of job satisfaction, as well as work discipline which also has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment through job satisfaction.
