Abstract
Human Resources have a strategic role in improving employee performance, especially in the public service sector such as the provision of clean water. Amidst the increasing demands of the community for fast, efficient and quality clean water services, employee performance is a key factor in maintaining the sustainability and reputation of Perumda Air Minum Danum Taka East Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the effect of selection, placement and development on employee performance at Perumda Air Minum Danum Taka East Kalimantan. The method used is SEM PLS with a sample of 88 employees using saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 88 respondents. The results of the study showed that selection had no effect on employee performance. While placement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, meaning that the better the placement given, the employee performance would increase. And development had a positive and significant effect on employee performance where the better the development program given, the employee performance would increase.
