Abstract

Human resources (HR) is an important component in every organization, which has a key in carrying out its role such as developing, managing, and maintaining employees so that the organization's strategic goals can be achieved. Recruitment and selection is one of the important initial ideas in human resource management, especially to prepare an organization that is able to get a qualified workforce. In realizing organizational goals with proper human resource management needs to be done by every company, one of which is PT Sahabat Media Digital (IF Project), which is a company in the creative industry that has expertise in product photos, digital marketing (social media) and media partnerships as well as a medium for learning generation-z related to understanding digital media in the creative industry. This research aims to analyze the recruitment and selection system in improving employee performance at PT Sahabat Media Digital (IF Project), a company in the creative industry. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Researchers used Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that the implementation of PT Sahabat Media Digital's recruitment system with the qualifications of prospective employees, interviews, decision results and structured selection, especially with an emphasis on work experience, soft skills, personality of prospective employees, and employee training has a significant influence on improving employee performance. In addition, the application of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) periodically helps in monitoring and developing employee performance.
