Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged increased efficiency in various sectors, including in the management of Field Work Practices (PKL) in higher education. However, the management of PKL data involving many parties such as students, lecturers, and administrators still faces obstacles in terms of efficiency and system integration. This research aims to design and build a PKL information system that can automate and simplify the PKL administrative process. The methods used in this research are Extreme Programming (XP) for software development and White Box Testing for system testing. In addition, system usability evaluation was conducted using the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ). The results showed that the developed PKL information system can solve operational problems and increase the productivity of PKL activities well. Based on the CSUQ survey results, the average user satisfaction score is 6.19 (calculated on a scale of 1 to 7), which indicates a high level of satisfaction. However, there are areas that can be improve, especially in the user interface aspect. This system is expected to contribute to the operation of PKL activities in the informatics study program of the Veteran National Development University of East Java.
