Abstract
The success of a company depends on the performance of its employees., which can be influenced by work motivation and leadership as key factors in organizational productivity. Kantor Pos Cabang Utama Kebonrojo has experienced a decline in employee performance from 2021 to 2023, accompanied by an increase in customer complaints despite a decrease in absenteeism rates. This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and leadership on employee performance at Kantor Pos Cabang Utama Kebonrojo Surabaya. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing interviewing & structured questionnaires distributed to 60 respondents in the logistics courier division using a saturated sampling method. This study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach as its analytical method. The findings indicate that work motivation and leadership have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. The most dominant indicators influencing employee performance are the drive to achieve goals in work motivation and the ability to manage emotions in leadership. This highlights the importance of training programs, clear career paths, and effective emotional management by leaders in fostering a conducive work environment. This study provides practical contributions by recommending strategies for enhancing motivation and developing effective leadership to support overall employee performance improvement.
