Abstract
In the increasingly tight business competition, companies must continue to improve quality and service to gain customer trust. This also applies to the automotive industry, which plays an important role in the Indonesian economy. This study identifies waste in motorcycle service at Yamaha Harpindo Jaya Rembang using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and provides recommendations for improvement. The results of the proposed improvements, the process time was reduced by 24 minutes, from 101 minutes to 77 minutes, by eliminating three NonValue Added (NVA) activities and adjusting the time on Non-Necessary Value Added (NNVA) activities. The total activity was also reduced from 16 to 13, and the activity time dropped from 98 minutes to 80 minutes. This improvement increased the Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) from 67.35% to 82.5%, indicating a significant increase in the effectiveness of motorcycle service at Yamaha Harpindo Jaya Rembang. This proves that the implementation of lean service is able to improve efficiency and service quality as a whole.
