Abstract

Aluminum Sulfate Factory from Bauxite and Sulfuric Acid with Process Wet at a capacity of 70,000 tons/year. Aluminum sulfate is a compound which has very wide uses in the chemical industry. This compound is common used as main raw materials or auxiliary materials, such as in industry textiles, paper or pulp and in water purification processes can be used as water treatment and waste processing. The factory operates for 330 days a year with a workforce of 155 employees. Sulfuric Acid is dissolved until concentration 77.67%. Two materials are fed into the reactor under conditions temperature 110℃ and pressure 1 atm to form an aluminum sulfate solution fed up. Crystals and mother liquor are separated using a centrifuge, for mother The liquor flows to waste water treatment, while the wet crystals are dried in a rotary dryer with hot air and produces dry crystals cooled on a cooling screw conveyor to a temperature of 30℃. The crystals are homogenized sized using a ball mill measuring 100 mesh accommodated in a silo storage for packaging and distribution. Provisions for the establishment of the planned Aluminum Sulfate factory can be concluded as follows: Production Capacity: 70,000 tons/year 2. Form of Organization: Limited Liability Company 3. Economic Analysis • Construction Period = 2 years • Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) = Rp. 518,800,314,981 • Working Capital Investment = Rp. 113,192,176,374 • Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp. 631,992,491,355 • Raw Material Costs (per year) = Rp. 146,563,393,988 • Utility Costs (per year) = Rp. 125,881,083,550 • Sales Proceeds = Rp. 633,850,000,000 • Bank Loan Interest = 11% • Rate on Investment (before tax) = 22.04% • Rate on Investment (after tax) = 16.53% • Pay Out Period = 4 years 5 Months • Internal Rate of Return = 13.39% • Break even Point (BEP) = 31.6%
