Abstract

Service quality is based on public satisfaction surveys, in published reports, always referring to formal assessment indicators such as completion time, facilities and infrastructure, and executor competence. executor competence in providing excellent service is influenced by the leader's emotional intelligence factor through psychological ability to improve service performance and dedication to employee work engagement. By using quantitative methods, the sampling technique uses pruposive sampling using predetermined criteria to be used as respondents based on filling out questionnaires. Hypothesis testing was carried out using assistance with the SmartPLS program. The population of this study was conducted in the Gresik Regency Government with a sample that was used as the object of research as many as 91 respondents. The results of the study conclude that: (1) Leader's Emotional Intelligence positively affects Psychological Capital. (2) Leader's Emotional Intelligence positively affects Job Performance. (3) Leader's Emotional Intelligence positively affects Work Engagement. (4) Psychological Capital positively affects Job Performance. (5) Psychological Capital positively affects Work Engagement. (6) Psychological Capital acts as an intervening variable in the indirect effect of Leader's Emotional Intelligence on Job Performance. (7) Psychological Capital has an indirect intervening effect on the relationship between Leader's Emotional Intelligence and Work Engagement.
