Abstract
The spread of information about the 2024 Election has become faster and more accessible due to digital media. Digital media is often used to share political information, campaign messages, and updates related to the 2024 Election. Through digital media, information can be distributed quickly without the limits of distance, space, or time. This rapid spread of information is also supported by user-generated content (UGC), which allows users to produce, share, and consume information freely. This freedom is sometimes used to influence and change public opinion with unverified information, such as discrediting candidates or spreading false news. To prevent the spread of misinformation, the "Bijak Memilih" website aims to provide neutral information and political education related to candidates, political parties, and relevant issues to help voters make informed decisions in the 2024 Election. This study focuses on how first-time voters, especially Generation Z, perceive the "Bijak Memilih" website as a source of election information. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was used, and data was collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The analysis is based on Bernard Barelson's Perception Theory, which consists of three stages: sensation, attention, and interpretation. The results show that first-time voters perceive the "Bijak Memilih" website as a useful source of information and education, supporting them in making decisions in the 2024 Election.
