Abstract
In an effort to reduce the unemployment rate and increase labor absorption in the city of Surabaya, the Surabaya City Department of Industry and Manpower has initiated a digital-based service innovation, namely Arek Suroboyo Siap Kerjo (ASSiK). ASSiK is designed to be a platform that connects job seekers with companies that need workers, so it is hoped that it can speed up the recruitment process and increase job opportunities for the people of Surabaya City. This research aims to analyze whether ASSiK Innovation meets Rippetoe & Rogers innovation characteristics and can help reduce the unemployment rate in the city of Surabaya. The theory used in this research is innovation theory according to Rippetoe & Rogers with five characteristics, namely relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that ASSiK Innovation can be accepted by users. This can be seen from the perceived benefits in the form of ease in the recruitment process, implementation of application innovations that are user-oriented, and increased employment rates. However, several obstacles were still found, such as features and functions and servers that still needed improvemet.
