Abstract
One of the main factors causing many people to die worldwide is accidents that occur while on the road. One way to avoid this is by prioritizing personal safety through obtaining and managing a Driver's License as proof of competence to drive. SATPAS Colombo, as one of the Driver's License service locations in Indonesia, has implemented the E-AVIS application to facilitate the public in obtaining and taking the theoretical exam for their Driver's License. This study employs qualitative research with a descriptive approach, which helps in gaining deeper explanations about a phenomenon. The innovation of the E-AVIS application for Driver's License issuance at SATPAS Colombo is measured based on its innovation attributes. Consequently, it is concluded that the E-AVIS application has distinct advantages. The application facilitates Driver's License applicants in registering and taking the theoretical exam using a reliable and accurate data system. With E-AVIS, registration and exams can be conducted anytime and anywhere. Officials are also aided in the registration and exam process due to the application's integration with a centralized system that includes facial recognition technology. E-AVIS has proven beneficial with positive impacts on society, particularly for Driver's License officials and applicants who are tasked with registration and exams. However, continual improvement in system functionality and server maintenance is necessary to prevent issues such as initial launch errors caused by simultaneous high-volume data access. It is crucial to maintain and update E-AVIS regularly through evaluations and periodic attention to ensure its sustained effectiveness.
