Abstract
This study aims to apply the design thinking method in developing the user interface (UI/UX) design for the data management information system at PT Merpati Training Center Surabaya. The design thinking method was used in the stages of user needs analysis, perspective gathering, ideation, prototyping, and testing. Data was collected through direct interviews with the Head of Manager of the company. The results show that by using the design thinking method, the developed UI/UX design successfully meets the user needs criteria. Users feel that the features contained in the UI/UX design are in line with the plan for developing the data management information system at PT Merpati Training Center. In conclusion, the Design Thinking method is an effective approach in developing UI/UX designs that meet user needs, improve user experience, and can increase the chances of successful implementation of the data management information system at PT Merpati Training Center Surabaya.
