Abstract
Employee performance in service companies is the spearhead that proves the quality of service and company meetings. Optimal employee performance is determined by various factors, including work discipline and interpersonal skills. This study aims to examine the effect of work discipline and interpersonal skills on employee performance in tour and outbound companies in Surabaya. Data analysis was conducted by applying the Structural Equation Modeling method by applying SmartPLS 4.1 software. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach through a survey method involving 47 tour leaders who are all tour leaders of Gemilang Tour and Outbond in Surabaya. The research findings imply that work discipline and interpersonal skills hold a strong impact in optimizing the performance of tour leaders of Gemilang tour and Outbond company in Surabaya. This shows that the lower the level of work discipline and interpersonal skills of tour leaders, the lower the employee performance. Vice versa, increasing employee work discipline and interpersonal skills can improve the performance of Gemilang Tour and Outbound tour leader employees in Surabaya.
