Abstract
Planning and controlling the flow of materials coming into, moving through, and going out of the production/operation system is known as production planning. The goal is to ensure that market demand can be met in the right quantity and at the right time with the lowest production cost. Identification results show that PT. X has failed to maximize the control of its production capacity by considering the available capacity (CA) and the required capacity (CR) when determining the amount to be produced to meet targeted orders. This is due to confusion about the quantity and timing needed for orders to come in and go out. As a result, PT. X produces excessive SOP, meaning the company makes more products than planned. The Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) method gathers data from observations, interviews, and documentation of company resources, costs, product demand, number of working days, and product production time. The data analysis technique chosen by the author involves surveys to estimate consumer demand, followed by the product production time.
