Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility is the company's moral responsibility towards stakeholders, especially the community around the company's operational area. Companies that carry out CSR can be said to be environmentally and socially responsible so that the company's value can increase. This study aims to determine the effect of corporate social responsibility on firm value. This study uses profitability as a moderating variable to test how strong corporate social responsibility has an influence on firm value. The research methodology used is quantitative method. In this study, the sampling used purposive sampling. The population in the study consisted of energy sector companies listed on the IDX for the period 2020-2022, totaling 66 companies, while the samples that met the criteria were 16 companies for 3 years of observation. This research method uses Partial Least Square (PLS) which is processed with the help of SmartPls 4.0 software with a total of 48 data. The PLS-SEM approach is used in this study by utilizing secondary data. The results showed that corporate social responsibility has no effect on firm value and profitability is not able to moderate the influence between corporate social responsibility on firm value.
