Abstract
Kampoeng Lawas Maspati is a community-based historical tourism village with great potential containing economic value. This article explains how the attraction of Kampoeng Lawas Maspati has attracted tourists so that it can then have a positive impact on the economy of the local community. This research uses a qualitative approach, namely collecting data through interviews with tourism actors. The results of the research show that Kampoeng Lawas Maspati has succeeded in having a positive impact on the economy of the local community through tourist visits, including in terms of income, creating job opportunities in the tourism sector, the existence of policies related to the fair and equitable distribution of benefits or profits resulting from tourist visits, the existence of ownership and control by local communities, as well as impacts on development in general such as development and renewal of tourism supporting facilities. By committing to the concept of community-based tourism, Kampoeng Lawas Maspati has proven that this tourism village is capable of becoming a model for other tourism villages in terms of improving the local community’s economy.
