Abstract
Work motivation is often still neglected by many companies or institutions, even though work motivation is a key factor that allows employees to reach their full potential. The lack of attention to this aspect results in employees not being able to provide optimal contributions in the workplace. Work motivation is very important in the execution of tasks by public employees, particularly for members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) because Satpol PP plays a crucial role in protecting the community by maintaining public order and peace, thus requiring optimal employee performance. As regulated in the East Java Governor Regulation No. 43 of 2021, Satpol PP of East Java Province has a very important role and also has the obligation to enforce the law at the regional level. This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation and the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit employees in East Java Province. This study uses a quantitative approach, utilizing the Pearson product-moment correlation test to examine the relationship between work motivation and employee performance in Satpol PP of East Java Province. The data for this study was obtained from 65 respondents selected using the Solvin formula. The results of this study show that there is a very strong relationship between work motivation and employee performance in Satpol PP of East Java Province, with the correlation test results showing a value of 0.843.
