Abstract

Cyberbullying is an increasingly disturbing phenomenon among junior high school students, with serious psychological effects. This research aims to design a motion graphic as an effective educational medium to enhance students understanding of the dangers of cyberbullying and preventive measures. Data collection included both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data was collected from articles, journals, and books. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The qualitative data analysis was applied using the 5W+1H method, wihch includes what, when, who, where, why, and how questions derived from the interview findings. Meanwhile, quantitative data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistical analysis of the questionnaire results. The results of these methods yielded verbal and visual concepts that will be implemented in the design of the motion graphic video “Eradicate Cyberbullying” for junior high school students. With thi video, it expected that student understanding of the negative effects and prevention of cyberbullying will be significantly improved.
