Abstract
Jombang Regency is a city that has several industrial sectors, one of which is the small Batik Sekar Jati industry located in Jatipelem Village, Diwek District, Batik Jombang Regency which is now named Batik Sekar Jati which now has 48 business units spread across several The village is in Jombang Regency, so the various batik motifs produced have received motif copyright from the government. This is based on the natural and cultural resource potential of Jombang Regency. Batik Sekar Jati has been inaugurated by the Regent of Jombang as the identity of Jombang Regency since 2012, but in fact Jombang Regency itself still lacks facilities capable of accommodating the introduction, unification, preservation and sale of Batik Sekar Jati products. In designing the Sekar Jati Batik Center, it can support community facilities to introduce, unite, preserve and sell Sekar Jati Batik. So the theme "Reinventing the batik tradition in the era of modernity" was chosen with the aim of presenting a design that can regenerate and introduce Sekar Jati batik to local communities and tourists in this modern era. The design approach used by Neo Vernacular Architecture has the aim of preserving existing local elements with more modern updates without eliminating local traditional values, so to support this, this design uses tangible methods to implement the theme, namely to present a a design that can regenerate and can introduce Sekar Jati batik and the Neo Vernacular architectural approach into the overall design concept that combines traditional and modern elements.
