Abstract
Human Resources have a very strategic position in the organization, meaning that humans play an important role in carrying out activities to achieve goals. This research was conducted to determine the effect of work motivation, occupational safety and health on employee organizational commitment. Several factors affect organizational commitment, namely compensation, work motivation, job satisfaction, organizational culture, occupational safety and health, and so on. The object of the research is located at PT Dragon Prima Farma, Semarang. The research method used is quantitative with data collection methods using observation techniques, interviews, and questionnaires using a five-point ordinal scale as a measuring tool. This study used a purposive sampling technique, the respondents selected to be contacted and asked to fill out a questionnaire as many as 29 people from a total population of 82 people, with the criteria being male and female aged 18-60 years, with the status of permanent employees who have worked at least 1 year. This research uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. Based on the results of the research that has been done, work motivation and occupational safety and health have a positive and significant effect on the organizational commitment of employees of the production department of PT Dragon Prima Farma. Work motivation can provide a contribution that can increase employee organizational commitment, when employee work motivation increases, employee organizational commitment will also increase. While occupational safety and health can contribute to increasing organizational commitment of employees of the production department of PT Dragon Prima Farma, when organizational commitment increases, occupational safety and health will also increase.
