Abstract
This study aims to analyze news framing about the policy of prohibiting the use of loudspeakers in mosques on Kompas.com and Detik.com. This research method is a qualitative approach using Robert Entman's framing analysis model which focuses on the construction of reporting on the call to prayer loudspeakers at mosques on Kompas.com and Detik.com. The news analyzed were 2 (two) news from Kompas.com and Detik.com each with a publication period in February 2022. The results showed that the elements define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and treatment recommendations that Kompas .com and Detik.com have different views and frames. In addition, there is a difference in framing between Kompas.com and Detik.com in constructing news on the Ministry of Religion's policy regarding the ban on the use of mosque loudspeakers. The difference can be seen from the motives in presenting the news. Kompas.com is more about building promotive and informative constructions for audiences, while Detik.com has a motive to build public opinion on something that is considered to have not been studied in depth.
