Abstract

Good human resources can help the company to run well, because the existence of employees in a company plays a very important role. The workforce has the potential to run a company's activities. By utilizing and developing the workforce well, it will produce a maximum performance going forward. Because the company and employees are two parts that need each other. So it is very necessary to have motivation and work discipline in a company to improve the performance of its employees. This study aims to determine and analyze the variables that affect employee performance at PT. Toeng Market in Surabaya. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all employees of Pt. Toeng Market, Surabaya. The sample of this research was 150 respondents. The sampling technique in this study uses the saturation sampling technique. This study uses primary data obtained from questionnaires. The independent variable in this study is Work Motivation and Discipline, while the dependent variable is Employee Performance. This study found that employee performance was influenced by motivational variables such as ownership, self-esteem, physiological, security. And the variable work discipline in the form of obedience to the rules of time, obedience to company regulations, obedience to behavior, obedience to other regulations. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis that simultaneously shows that the independent variable Motivation and Work Discipline has a significant influence on the dependent variable Employee Performance, evidenced by the value of Fcount (18.777) > Ftable (3.06). Partially shows that the motivation variable has a significant influence on employee performance, as evidenced by the value of tcount (2.664) > ttable (1.655). The work discipline variable partially shows that it has a significant influence on employee performance, as evidenced by the value of tcount (5.125) > ttable (1.655).
