Abstract
This research describes the communication patterns used by parents of 13-19 year olds who use free fire online games with a case study on the childhood optimizer community. In addition, this research is also to find out what response is given by children when their parents provide a stimulus in the form of implementing communication patterns. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and is based on the Stimulus-Response (S-R) model. Data collection was done by in-depth interview technique with 10 informants. 5 informants of parents and 5 informants of teenagers. The results of this study are 2 informants who apply authoritarian communication patterns to their children, by applying rules that must be met by children. There is 1 informant who applies a democratic communication pattern by listening to children's opinions and there is 1 informant who applies a free communication pattern. In this communication pattern, parents free their children to do whatever they want without high control from parents. While there is 1 informant who adheres to a mixed communication pattern, namely otriter-democratic, this informant runs two communication patterns by giving rules to children, but parents also listen to the opinion of the child.
