Abstract
The planning for this Carbon Black plant is expected to be able to produce with a capacity of 60,000 tons of Carbon Black/year in pellet form. The factory operates on a semi-continuous basis for 330 days a year. Carbon Black is needed in large quantities, almost 95% for the rubber industry, and the rest is used in the ink, paint, paper, plastic, and other industries. Briefly, the process description of the Carbon Black factory is as follows: First of all, heavy fuel oil is decomposed in the furnace to form carbon black, then the product is separated and taken by passing it through a cyclone. After that, the carbon black is formed into pellets in the pelletizer, then dried in a rotary dryer and then cooled on a colling conveyor and is ready to be marketed in pellet form.
