Abstract
Wates Village is one of the villages in Mojokerto City. Based on an explanation from the Mojokerto City Environmental Service, the amount of waste generated per day in Mojokerto City reached 66,404 m3/day and most of it was waste originating from residential activities. Currently, there is a COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, including in the Mojokerto City area. This causes all activities to be carried out from home or usually called work from home. In RT 01/RW 03 Kelurahan Wates there is a B-TRI waste bank that processes and sells inorganic waste such as used product waste, but when working from home there is a significant decline in depositing inorganic waste at the waste bank. This study aims to determine the generation before and during WFH, to find out the public's understanding of the aspects of recycling inorganic waste, and to find solutions for the waste bank to continue running well. In 2020, the generation of inorganic waste is 0.17 kg/person/day. During the work from home period, the inorganic waste generated was 0.07 kg/person/day and decreased by 0.1 kg/person/day compared to before the WFH period. Public understanding of inorganic waste recycling with the highest percentage of 93.5%. Things that affect the decline also occur due to factors, behaviors and attitudes of the people who are starting to care less about the environment. Keywords: inorganic waste, waste generation, covid-19, work from home, factors and behavior
