Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of aspects of individual behavior consisting of Greed, Opportunity, Need and Exposure as well as the psychological aspects of Academic self efficacy as a moderating variable on academic cheating. The object of this study is testing of Greed, Opportunity, Need and Exposure as well as the psychological aspects of Academic self efficacy as a moderating variable for academic cheating. The data used in this study were obtained from a questionnaire distributed to active students majoring in accounting at UPN "Veterans" East Java in 2016. Analysis of the data used was SmartPLS 3.0. The results of this study showed that Greed has a positive effect on academic cheating. While Opportunity does not affect academic cheating, and Need and Exposure have a positive effect on academic cheating. Academic self efficacy as a moderating variable is not able to moderate Greed, Opportunity, Need and Exposure to academic cheating.
