Abstract

The existence of advertisements belonging to Always Warm Attention in Every Business - GrabFood, which was released on December 21, 2019 on the Grab Indonesia YouTube channel, shows an implicit message. This advertisement allegedly contains messages about the depiction of motherhood in some of the scenes shown. Researchers analyzed motherhood using the Textual Analysis method with the logic of thinking of textual analysis by Thwaites which dissects the meaning in the text in connotation, denotation and myth which consists of twelve sequences. Researchers assess the depiction of a mother's concern in fulfilling children's food needs as a form of participation in the domestic sphere in advertisements leading to the ideology of motherhood. However, the researchers also saw the application of the value of motherhood in the form of the role of the mother in terms of care as a responsibility in the domestic sphere as well as her role in the public sphere. Key Words: Advertisement, Motherhood, Textual Analysis.
