Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah India dalam meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara pasca serangan Mumbai 2008 dalam kerangka pemasaran pariwisata yang merujuk pada promosi pariwisata inbound dan outbound pada tahun 2009 hingga 2012. Dalam promosi pariwisata inbound, pemerintah India mengadakan festival dan fair dalam negeri yang diadakan di setiap tahunnya. Sedangkan promosi pariwisata outbound, pemerintah India mengadakan roadshow yang diadakan di Luar Negeri. Dalam kegiatan roadshow Kementerian Pariwisata India berpartisipasi dalam beberapa industri wisata dan perjalanan, mengikuti acara sport internasional, dan menyelenggarakan konferensi di luar negeri. Dalam hal ini, kegiatan musiman yang diadakan di setiap tahun tersebut bertujuan untuk mengembalikan kepercayaan publik untuk berwisata dan meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung atau melakukan sejumlah aktivitas ekonomi di India. Kata kunci: Promosi Pariwisata Inbound, Promosi Pariwisata Outbound, Festival, Fair, Roadshow ABSTRACT This study explores the strategy carried out by the Indian government in increasing the number of foreign tourists after the 2008 Mumbai attacks in the framework of tourism marketing which refers to the promotion of inbound and outbound tourism in 2009 to 2012. In the promotion of inbound tourism, the Indian government held festivals and fairs in the country which is held every year. While outbound tourism promotion, the Indian government held a roadshow which was held abroad. In the roadshow activities the Indian Ministry of Tourism participated in several travel and travel industries, participated in international sporting events, and held conferences abroad. In this case, the seasonal activities held every year are aimed at restoring public confidence in traveling and increasing the number of tourists visiting or carrying out a number of economic activities in India.
