Abstract
Ruangguru is committed to enhancing the quality of human resources and preparing students to compete in the job market. Through the Independent Study program, Ruangguru provides opportunities for students to improve their competencies through practical and in-depth learning processes. Students will be equipped with competency-based online training facilitated by Ruangguru to bridge the gap between knowledge and the industry that is not included in the university curriculum. Therefore, after completing their studies, students are required to implement the knowledge they have received by creating solutions to the current problems. These problems stem from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected Indonesia and has also shaken the country's economy. Many workers have been forcibly laid off by certain companies, and students are facing difficulties in participating in online learning, thus requiring additional educational support. The solution to the problem at hand is a website called Guruku. Guruku is an application that serves as a platform for applying for private tutoring jobs and for students to find private tutors online. In designing Guruku, the focus was on the interface of the website, using React JS as the JavaScript library, react bootstrap as the CSS framework, and manual CSS. Additionally, there was integration of an API using dummy API.
