Abstract
At the end of December 2019, a new type of SARS-COV-2 virus called COVID19 or Corona appeared in Wuhan, China. The spread of the virus to various worlds has an impact on various fields including education. The education sector in Indonesia was also affected until the government set a call for learning at home for all levels of education. The teaching and learning process is carried out at home via online, not least at the lecture level. Organizing online lectures certainly xiii involves various aspects such as the media and significant changes in terms of the learning method system and facilities obtained through tuition bill payments. The purpose of this study was to determine how Surabaya students' perceptions of online lectures in the context of COVID-19. The study was a qualitative study using data collection techniques through in-depth interviews. The data analysis method used is a descriptive method, where researchers describe the results of data collected. Researchers use the theory of Kenneth K. Sereno, Edward M. Bodaken, Judy C. Pearson, and Paul E. Nelson in Dedy Mulyana (2008) about the stages of the process of perception namely excitement (sensation), attention, and interpretation. The results of the study are perceptions of Surabaya students' about online lectures stated that online lectures during a pandemic were good for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, provided the informants felt less satisfied in terms of the number of assignments and facilities that were considered less appropriate. Whereas the other two informants felt that studying online was only a formality because less material for study and just getting tasks. Keywords: Perception, Online Lecture, COVID-19
