Abstract
Child labor is a common problem in several countries including El Salvador. Many children in El Salvador are found to be child laborers in the agriculture sector. Many children in El Salvador become child laborers due to several factors. The government of El Salvador has ratified the ILO conventions regarding the minimum age of workers and the elimination of all the worst forms of work for children, but in reality child labor in the country is still widely found. The ILO as an international organization that focuses on workers around the world has an important role in the role of eliminating child labor in El Salvador. The role of the ILO in the elimination of child labor in El Salvador in 2012-2016 is not the first role carried out by the ILO, it can be seen that the role of the ILO in this research year is a continuing role for the elimination of child labor in El Salvador. This research looks at the case of child labor in El Salvador with the theory of the role of international organizations proposed by Clive Archer. The role of the ILO as an instrument, arena, and actor can be seen in the case of child labor in El Salvador. In looking at the case of child labor in El Salvador, this research is a descriptive qualitative research with literature review data collection techniques by taking data from credible sources. keywords: Child Labour.
