Abstract

This research is titled Communication Patterns of Parents and Teachers of Dharma Wanita Pare Special School for Autistic Children in Parenting. The research aims to find out how the communication patterns between parents and teachers of SLB Dharma Wanita Pare in educating the parenting of autistic children. Autistic children have disorders that affect language development and the ability to communicate, interact and behave. This is a challenge for parents to educate children in parenting, so it requires cooperation with children's school teachers who are more expert in their fields. In applying parenting to autistic children using the five-stage theory, namely the initial interaction stage, the involvement stage, the familiarity stage, and the destruction stage (Solotion / Disolotion). The theory is applied to autistic children because it is done in stages so that when communicating autistic children always experience development and to find out what the obstacles are when communicating with autistic children. In addition, parenting and home education must always be combined to make children able to easily accept what is taught to them, therefore the right communication pattern is needed between teachers and parents to be able to convey the strengths and weaknesses of children both at home and at school. The right communication pattern is that parents and teachers must be able to become communicants or communicators in any situation in terms of parenting these autistic children.
