Abstract
Almost every agency, organization, company, institution, both government and private, implements information systems on mobile software that aim to simplify, increase time efficiency, and improve performance and productivity. The "New Abadi" store is a company engaged in the clothing sector that has not implemented this system, meaning that transaction activities are carried out in a manual system. The "New Abadi" Store cashier application is a simple android-based cashier application that can perform stock and item management, calculations and transaction history, etc. and aims to make it easier for the "New Abadi" Store to process business transactions quickly, accurately, and efficient. This application has a barcode scanner system to scan barcodes using the camera on a smartphone and implements the Boyer-Moore algorithm which functions to match the barcode scan results with items in the application database. The research method used to build applications is the waterfall method. While the test method used is the blackbox method. The results of trials carried out on the application can run well and as expected. The barcode scanner system and the application of the Boyer-Moore algorithm also work well in scanning barcodes and matching barcodes and can speed up the input of goods for further transactions.
