Abstract
Indonesia is a developing country that has a large population. Along with the development of technology and economic status, health problems in Indonesia have also increased, including bone and joint health problems. These problems often occur in Indonesia through various factors. Some of the most frequently encountered factors are traumatic and degenerative factors. Traumatic factors are influenced by the high number of accidents in Indonesia, one of which is in Malang City, East Java Province, while degenerative factors are affected by reduced function of nerve cells. Therefore, we need a place to be a place for handling and healing these problems. An orthopedic hospital is a place designed to provide health services related to bone and joint problems. The purpose of this design is to provide health facilities that can support the process of treatment, care, healing, and medical rehabilitation in cases of bone and joint health. The design concept of this hospital refers to the theme Connected and Recovery Support Environment by creating an environment that provides physical and psychological comfort for patients through a healing architecture approach. In this design, the method used is a pragmatic design method that prioritizes the functional aspects of the object, namely as a provider of facilities according to the required space requirements. The result of this design is an Orthopedic Hospital building design that responds to environmental conditions so as to provide physical and psychological comfort to patients and other users.
