Abstract
BUMDes are one of the appropriate means of implementing community empowerment. One BUMDes that has the potential to empower rural communities is BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" Jiwan Village, Jiwan District, Madiun Regency. So far, BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" has managed to manage its Pujasera. In 2019, this food court can achieve a turnover of 1.4 billion with a net profit of 146 million. The Pujasera's profits are used to develop facilities at this Pujasera. Not only stopping in 2019, this Pujasera continues to experience an increase in terms of revenue. Along with the establishment of the BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki", in Jiwan Village there has also been an increase in job opportunities. This study aims to describe the process of community empowerment through BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" in Jiwan Village, Jiwan District, Madiun Regency. Community empowerment through BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" Jiwan Village is seen as using 6 goals to achieve community empowerment, better institution, better business, better income, better environment, better living, and better community. This type of research is qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the people of Jiwan Village cannot be fully empowered through BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" in Jiwan Village because of the 6 indicators that aim to achieve community empowerment, only 4 indicators can be implemented by BUMDes "Sumber Rejeki" in the process of empowering the Jiwan Village community, namely improvement income (better income), environmental improvement (better environment), life improvement (better living) and community improvement (better community). Institutional improvement (better institution) and business improvement (better business) have not been carried out optimally. Keywords: Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), Community Empowerment
