Abstract
The tradition of khataman Al-Qur'an in congregation is a way for Muslims to keep reading the Al-Qur'an. As busy lives and the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic increase, khataman activities are carried out online via WhatsApp, as was done by Hasjim Asj'ari Tulangan Middle School teachers. In its implementation, there are obstacles because the allotment process, update progress, and other mechanisms are still being typed in manually. To overcome these obstacles, a web-based khataman application was built. Web-based applications are chosen because of their high accessibility so that users do not need to install additional applications on their devices. This application is made using the Waterfall method through several stages. The first stage is to analyze the problem and collect data. The second stage is the scheduling of making applications, so that they are more focused and on target. The next step is to design the application. The next stage is coding using the CodeIgniter 4 Framework and MySQL as the database management system, which is then tested using the Black-box testing method. The final stage is an application demo to get feedback from users. The results of this study are in the form of a web-based application that can function as needed in the process of completing the Qur'an in congregation among SMP Hasjim Asj'ari Tulangan teachers. Suggestions for further application development are the addition of a feature in the form of a web push notification, so that participants can still receive updates about completion even though they are not currently opening the application page through a web browser.
