Abstract
In an increasing era, humans are increasingly becoming creatures who prefer and prioritize visuals because it is easy to understand only through the senses of sight, as well as concise text because it is more efficient to read. Not infrequently, in designs that exist around the environment or in the digital world, simple symbols or signs have been applied which can represent a summary of the information or a long explanation. So that it can really help humans in capturing information or explanations in a short time, this is beneficial because it increases efficiency. These symbols and signs are called EGD or Environmental Graphic Design. EGD in this design is an effort to improve facilities in Kenpark Surabaya which acts as a medium of information for visitors. EGD can also support the image as one of the branding efforts so that it can be a positive value for Kenpark Surabaya and its visitors. The existence of the EGD is an effort to make it easier for visitors to get information about the flow in Kenpark Surabaya without having to search and ask. Using descriptive data analysis techniques by collecting data through interviews, direct observation, and distributing questionnaires which will be studied from factual phenomena or events. So that it can produce a new interpretation in the form of an informative, attractive, and aesthetically pleasing concept of EGD as well as having character. In designing the EGD Kenpark Surabaya, it is hoped that it can provide convenience in communicating with visitors so that it can provide time and effort effectiveness and make it easier to travel to enjoy a directed tourist area. Where the entire sign system is made while still applying the same elements so that it has an element of unity between one sign and another and can highlight character as a branding effort.
