Abstract

This thesis is the result of research that describes how much influence product quality and service quality have on competitive advantage. Product quality is defined as a condition of the product in the form of goods or services based on the level of quality to meet customer satisfaction and needs. Service quality is defined as the ability of employees or companies to provide the best quality service. While competitive advantage is defined as a strategy to be superior to its competitors. The background behind the author's interest in making this thesis is based on observations based on that basically consumers will like products and services that have advantages. The company will try to achieve excellence so that consumers do not run to competing products. The research method used is a quantitative method with data collection through questionnaires to buyers who buy products at the Promise Jiwa Coffee Shop. The population used in this study were buyers or consumers of the Promise Jiwa throughout Sidoarjo coffee shop with male/female criteria. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling. The type of data used in this study is primary data, namely data collected or obtained directly from the research object. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression. Thus, the results of this study that simultaneously and partially product quality and service quality have a significant effect on competitive advantage at the Promise Jiwa throughout Sidoarjo coffee shop.
