Abstract

Indonesia is a developing country in Asia which is currently focuses on development in the agricultural and industrial sectors. One of the industries in Indonesia that is developing is the chemical industry, which has recently experienced an increase in both quality and quantity, so that the need for raw materials and supporting materials will also increase. Currently, Indonesia is still importing to other countries to meet raw materials, either used as raw materials and as auxiliary materials. Therefore there is a need for development in the chemical industry. One of the chemical products which Indonesia still relies on for imports is Isopropylamine. Isopropylamine consists of monoisopropylamine (MIPA) and diisopropylamine (DIPA). Monoisopropylamine is mostly used in agriculture, namely as a raw material for the manufacture of herbicides and insecticides. Isopropylamine can be prepared by various processes with various types of raw materials. In this plant, acetone, ammonia and hydrogen are used to synthesize monoisopropylamine and diisopropylamine. The three reactants were reacted with IPAS-1 Hydrogenation catalyst in a multitube reactor at a temperature of 150 C and 30 ATM. Furthermore, through a separation process with a flash drum and multilevel distillation. Monoisopropylamine Plant with Reductive Alkylation Process Using this Hydrogenation Catalyst, it is planned to operate 24 hours a day, 330 working days a year and a production capacity of 1893.9394 kg/hour. This factory is planned to be established in Sidoarjo and operate for 330 days/year with the following data: a. Production capacity: 15000 tons/year b. Materials used: Hydrogen, Acetone, Ammonia c. Operating system: Continuous d. Operation time: 330 days/year; 24 hours/day e. Land area : 20,000 m2 f. Number of employees: 153 people g. Company form : Limited Liability Company (PT) h. Organizational Structure: Lines and staff Economic analysis: a. Construction period: 2 years b. Factory age: 10 years c. Fixed Capital Investment (FCI): Rp. 353.333.318.879.57 d. Working Capital Investment (WCI) : Rp. 104,398,810,287 e. Total Capital Investment (TCI): Rp. 457.730.129.167 f. Raw Material Cost (1 year): Rp. 196,665,390,191 g. Utilities Fee (1 year): Rp. 12,350,763,604 h. Total Production Cost (Total Production Cost): Rp. 417,595,241,149 i. Product Sales Results (Sale Income): Rp. 609,583,103,607.43 j. Bank Interest : 8% k. Internal Rate of Return : 29.59% l. Rate On Investment : 21.1% m. Payback Period : 3 years 5 months n. Break Even Point (BEP): 21.6%
