Abstract
Poverty is still one of the unsolved problems in Indonesia. Therefore, to help overcome poverty and help abandoned orphans in Indonesia, One of them is establishing a program or institution to overcome poverty. PPAY Baiturrohman Social Institution is one of the Social Institutions that help overcome poverty and help orphans in the Krian sub-district, Sidoarjo. However, the PPAY Baiturrohman social institution faces several problems, namely 68% of the people of Sidoarjo City and its surroundings (Surabaya) do not know the PPAY Baiturrohman Social Institution of its visual identity such as logos because the visual identity is weak and does not match the image of PPAY Baiturrohman. In addition, the promotional media used is less diverse, Has not been promoted through social media and the visual design of promotional media is not conceptualized and consistent. The methods used in this design are qualitative and quantitative methods for primary data collection, namely by interview techniques, field observations, and questionnaires. Secondary data is obtained from literature in the form of books, journals, scientific articles, and internet sites. After obtaining the necessary data, the data was analyzed using descriptive and TOWS analysis methods. Descriptive analysis to explain the important points obtained and TOWS to analyze the threats, opportunities, weaknesses, and strengths possessed by PPAY Baiturrohman Social Institution. The results of the data analysis above produce a design concept with the keyword "Caring for the Welfare of Orphan Lives", the keyword is used as a reference in this design. To produce a logo that can represent the image and vision of the mission of the PPAY Baiturrohman Social Institution, namely Caring for the Welfare of Orphan Lives, this concept is reflected in the visual form of the logo, namely, Caring is visualized with the element of the hand that looks up, Welfare life is visualized with an arrangement of elements of orphans who are ranked from low to higher, Orphans are visualized with elements of cheering orphans. This design hopes that the logo and supergraphics are applied consistently in various attributes and branding media according to the needs of the institution so that it can help the PPAY Baiturrohman Social Institution to be better known by the people of Sidoarjo and its surroundings (Surabaya).
