Abstract
Voter participation serves as the basis and practice of democracy that seeks to achieve the overall and sustainable welfare of society. One form of democratic political engagement is the voting process in every election or local election. In addition, the success of elections depends on the extent to which the community is involved. The problem of political participation in society is the lack of responsibility and awareness of political activities. This research aims to find out the Community Participation in the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in Semolowaru Village. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with sampling and obtained a sample of 100 people. Data collection was done through distributing online questionnaires via google form. The data analysis technique uses the range formula by calculating the difference between the highest and lowest scores. From the results of the study obtained that community participation shows that the majority of people in Semolowaru Village have participated and used their voting rights in the Pilkada. The conclusion is that there is good community participation in the elections in Semolowaru Village.
