Abstract

Economic growth is a key indicator for assessing the economic development of a region. As a province with significant economic activity, West Java requires the support of various factors to drive economic growth. This study aims to analyze the impact of capital expenditure, investment, and the labor force on economic growth in West Java Province. A quantitative approach was employed using annual secondary data covering the 2011–2025 period, obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and other relevant sources. Economic growth was measured by the economic growth rate, while capital expenditure, investment, and the labor force served as independent variables. Data analysis was conducted using ARDL with the aid of Eviews software. The results indicate that, individually, capital expenditure and investment have a significant effect on economic growth, whereas the labor force does not. However, when considered simultaneously, capital expenditure, investment, and the labor force collectively exert a significant influence on economic growth. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the local government in efforts to boost investment and workforce quality, as well as to optimize capital expenditure management in support of West Java's economic growth. Keywords: Capital Expenditure, Investment, Labor, Economic Growth
