Abstract

This study aims to analyze the clustering of investment and labor within small and medium-sized industries (SMIs) in Kelurahan Dalam, Rungkut District, Surabaya, using the K-Means method. In the context of globalization and technological advancement, the development of SMIs is crucial for boosting the local economy and creating sustainable employment. The Surabaya City Industry and Manpower Agency plays a key role in supporting SMI growth; however, challenges regarding data monitoring and complex analysis often hinder effective decision-making. By applying the K-Means method, this study categorizes SMI data based on specific characteristics, such as workforce size, investment volume, and industry type. This analysis seeks to identify significant patterns and relationships between investment and labor in SMIs, thereby providing better insights for decision-makers. The findings are expected to support the formulation of more effective policies for SMI development in the area and enhance the contribution of SMIs to the local economy.
