Abstract
Rice production and farm income are influenced by various production factors as well as the accuracy of subsidized fertilizer distribution. This study was conducted to describe the mechanism of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Bedoho Village, analyze rice farming in terms of production costs, revenue, and income, and identify the factors determining production and farmers’ income in Bedoho Village, Jiwan District, Madiun. The study involved 66 respondents selected using a stratified random sampling technique, with primary data collected directly through structured interviews. Data analysis consisted of descriptive analysis, farm financial analysis, and statistical testing using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The main findings indicate that: (1) the implementation of subsidized fertilizer distribution in the field generally complies with existing regulations, although it still faces several obstacles, including delays in delivery and fertilizer quantities that do not fully meet the requirements specified in the RDKK; (2) the average production cost of rice farming was IDR 25,125,511, while the average revenue was IDR 37,460,932 and the average income was IDR 12,335,421; (3) rice production was significantly influenced by cultivated land area, fertilizer costs, seed quantity, labor, and the accuracy of subsidized fertilizer distribution in terms of timing and quantity; and (4) cultivated land area, production costs, selling price, timeliness, and accuracy of the quantity of subsidized fertilizer distribution were found to have a positive and significant effect on farmers’ income.
