Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Economic Growth, the Open Unemployment Rate, and Mean Years of Schooling on poverty in Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, and Sumenep Regencies on Madura Island during the 2017-2025 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis based on secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia. The data were analyzed using EViews 13 through panel data model selection, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that, partially, Economic Growth has no significant effect on poverty. The Open Unemployment Rate has a positive and significant effect on poverty, while Mean Years of Schooling has a negative and significant effect on poverty. Simultaneously, Economic Growth, the Open Unemployment Rate, and Mean Years of Schooling have a significant effect on poverty in Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, and Sumenep Regencies on Madura Island during the 2017-2025 period.
