Abstract
This study aims to examine the differences in the financial performance of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk before and after the implementation of blockchain technology. Financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO). This study employs a quantitative comparative approach using secondary data from the annual financial statements of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk for the period 2015–2024. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the normality test, and the Paired Sample t-test with SPSS version 26. The results indicate that blockchain implementation did not produce significant differences in ROA, ROE, and BOPO. However, NIM showed a significant difference after blockchain implementation. These findings suggest that blockchain implementation has not significantly affected most financial performance indicators but has improved the bank's intermediation efficiency.
