Abstract

The unauthorized distribution of the ”Kamen Rider” series by third parties on the Bstation streaming platform presents a legal issue concerning copyright and licensing rights in the digital era. This research is significant given the prevalence of unauthorized rebroadcasting of cinematographic works, which potentially causes economic and legal harm to official license holders. The study employs a normative-juridical research method, utilizing both a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The findings indicate that the unauthorized distribution of the ”Kamen Rider” series via digital platforms constitutes an infringement of the license holder's exclusive rights; this qualifies as an unlawful act under Article 1365 of the Indonesian Civil Code and violates the provisions of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright.
