Abstract
The Pharmaceutical Information Installation of X General Hospital, Sidoarjo, is facing problems with managing drug stocks which are still done manually, resulting in delays in data input, stock calculation errors, and a high number of expired drugs reaching 193 items (9.64%) in the 2022–2023 period. This research aims to design and build a website-based pharmacy information system using the Laravel 12 framework by integrating the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm for classifying drug contents and types as a drug substitution recommendation feature. The development method used is Waterfall with stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is built using PHP 8.2, Laravel 12, Livewire 4, MySQL 8.0, and Spatie Permission v6 for role-based access management (admin, apoteker, patient). K-NN implementation is carried out through the KNNHelper class which builds feature vectors from the active substance content data (strength) of each drug product plus a price feature (HET/1000), then calculates the Euclidean Distance between products to find k nearest substitute products. The system covers 11 main functions including authentication, master data management (products, suppliers, patients), drug purchase and sale transactions, dynamic stock reports, account management, and system notifications. Testing was carried out using Black Box Testing to verify the functionality of all features of the pharmacy information system at RSU X.
